Contract Term: September 21, 2026 – May 7, 2027

Hours: Approximately 20–24 hours per month

Reports to: Artistic Producer

Compensation: Competitive contract rate, based on experience and aligned with BC non-profit arts sector standards.

About the Role

Pacific Coast Stage Company is seeking a motivated Funding Development & Partnerships Coordinator to help strengthen the organization's long-term sustainability through grant writing, fundraising, partnership development, and organizational systems.

Working closely with the Artistic Producer, this contractor will play a key role in increasing funding opportunities, expanding community relationships, supporting fundraising initiatives, and improving administrative capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Research, write, and submit approximately 15–20 grant applications annually.

• Maintain a grants calendar and identify new funding opportunities.

• Prepare grant support materials and assist with reporting.

• Build and strengthen partnerships with community organizations, businesses, sponsors, and equity-focused groups.

• Support fundraising campaigns, donor stewardship, and sponsorship initiatives.

• Lead implementation and ongoing management of PCSC's CRM system.

• Develop organizational tracking systems for grants, donors, memberships, and volunteers.

• Assist with communications, marketing copy, newsletters, and promotional materials as needed.

• Track outcomes and provide regular progress updates to the Artistic Producer.

• Provide general administrative support related to organizational development.

Qualifications

• Experience in grant writing, fundraising, arts administration, or a related field.

• Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.

• Experience with CRM or database systems is an asset (training available).

• Knowledge of the BC arts and non-profit sector is an asset.

• Commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, accessibility, and community engagement.

Seasonal Closure: Two-week unpaid break during the Christmas and New Year period.

The Technical Director will work alongside Pacific Coast Stage Co.'s Artistic Producer and will supervise Producing Staff. They will complete a variety of tasks in collaboration with other Nanaimo Fringe team members and our dedicated festival volunteers.
